retail Therapy - A definite Attitude Adjustment For Any Woman

No.1 Article of Walmart Jobs

Retail therapy is a woman's way of dealing with the stress, heartache and unabridged annoyances of her life. It doesn't take much - boss being in a bad mood, bad hair day, stressful day, arguing with her boyfriend or husband...you get the picture.

In fact, sell therapy is probably what saves many a man's life - rather than take our disappointment (most likely caused by a man) out on the man, we take it out on our wallets and bank accounts. Terrible day? Buy a new purse - the seasons are changing anyways. Fat day? Buy a pair of shoes - they'll make you look taller and thus, skinnier. Aggravated by your job? Go buy some new clothes - at least then you'll feel like a million bucks when your job makes you feel like a troll. It actually doesn't matter what we buy - Tupperware, cleaning supplies, iPod touch, Dvd's, new bathroom rugs and shower curtain, new bedspread with matching curtains, throw pillows, dishes, coffee maker, cell phone case. As long as money is spent, our moods are right away lifted.

As a ensue of sell therapy, I have about 60 purses, three sets of bathroom rugs, five sets of bath towels, about six bedspreads with matching curtains, three sets of dishes, two sets of Tupperware, one new kitchen utility cart, new blender, three briefcase/laptop totes, adequate cleaning supplies to wipe down a warehouse, patio ornaments, two bathroom waste baskets, a wardrobe that consumes my attic, bedroom and basement, two hair straighteners, adequate yarn to make five afghans, ten baby blankets and twenty winter scarves, three decorative storehouse boxes for said yarn, a guitar I do not know how to play, more books than I have bookshelves for, two Christmas trees, four throw blankets, three sets of living room drapes, two sets of utensils.... You get the picture.

Once a year, I purge myself of the excess....and within six months I rebuild the list of extra crap I actually don't need but is worth its weight in gold, and the American dollar, for the happiness and joy it brought me when I bought it. Do not try to cure a woman of her sell therapy tendencies - those of us who succumb to it have actually become very economical shoppers for it - we know where to find the deals, where the best sales are, where the clearance aisle is in every drugstore, Target and Walmart, how to get a reduction and rarely pay full price for anything. So when your woman is having an awful day, the best thing you can do is greet her at the door, give her a hug and hand her 0 - you will be amazed at how far she can stretch that 0 and how much happier she will be when she comes back home.

Local Customs

From a long list of illustrious tourist attractions to simple but pleasant features like La's Beverly center (an eight-story mall), picturesque mountain views and beaches, and even poolside parties-where no one gets in the pool-local delicacies are enticing sufficient to convert visitors to residents. A surprising fact to note is that La is home to a large number of Chicago natives all whom cite, "great weather" as the motive for becoming permanent residents. Speaking of the weather, except for the infrequency of rain, La is likely the only U.S. County where one can experience all four seasons in the same day. As a result, in increasing to pools and canopy lounges, heat lamps and outdoor fireplaces are staple venue fixtures.

'Tis true, even with eight interstates, La freeway traffic is a beast. However, take ease in knowing that MapQuest for La is 99 percent accurate, which makes it easy to avoid the freeways altogether. Not so spoton are motorists who have no idea what to do when they spot a jaywalker. (Slamming on breaks is a no-no because that causes accidents.) Apparently, jaywalking is an enforced ticketable offense in La. So, if habit compels you to chicken run to catch an appointment, think twice. Walking to the angle of each block and waiting for the light to flash green is a painful reminder of how much time jaywalking shaves off a commute. Agreeing to residents, an fine is the quick cure for, "cutting corners." So is a fine for not feeding the parking meters in Beverly Hills.

La is a very popular trek for celebs that have to be in the city for one hypothesize or the other-usually something music or film related. Spotting local and visiting celebs is easy to do. On one visit to La, recording artist, Ronnie Devoe of New Edition fame was scene with wife, Shamari Fears while airport transit as was Atlanta mayor, Shirley Franklin. Hip-Hop artists, Lyfe Jennings (mall) and Chingy (hotel lobby) were also spotted and even made time for casual conversation. While Reverend Run of the group, Run Dmc and Lamman Rucker (Why Did I Get Married?) were out-n-about for a local red carpet.

Just about every entertainment commerce event in La is preceded by a red floor covering where local actors and executives especially tend to be quite amiable to posing for pictures. However, cover charges for celebrity-laden events can start at . If you're looking to do commerce networking, evaluation no more than a 10% return on investment. Getting Population to supervene up after an event in in the middle of scheduled productions is an art more than a science.

Going west? If so, Manhattan Beach is a cozy spot for beach lovers. Santa Monica is chill, Westwood is trendy, and Beverly Hills is upscale (No smoking in city limits please and be forewarned that parking rules are enforced by the second!).

Asking locals for bistro referrals is all the time helpful. However, given sky-high prices for everything La, it's thrifty to buy groceries while an extended stay and eat-out sparingly. Ralph's is owned by the same enterprise as Kroger but as a brand is better matched to Publix or Dominick's. Fresh fruit and quality juices reign in fullness at Ralph's. The to-go section is very diverse and fit for travelers or just Population on the go. Be sure to try the bakery's Italian crème cheese cake. It's exceptional.

For a genuine La experience, try getting on the 405 (San Diego Freeway) just to see if you can get off in under five minutes. Also try looking a bistro that offers sweet (versus iced) tea and macaroni and cheese on the same menu. Avoiding the two-minute snatch (having your vehicle ticketed and towed in article time) in uptown La is assuredly a skill worth mastering. The greatest thing to do is to try to beat a crosswalk timer, which gives you all of 15 seconds to get your butt on a curb before the traffic light turns red. Depending on how wide an intersection is and when you start to cross, it's a hustle. Needless to say, the timer feature is something New York cab drivers would gladly appreciate.

For a metropolis with more metal than the Motor City and parking decks in every nook, parking fees are unnecessarily exorbitant. If you are amenable to walking, a pair of Timberlands, Air Force One's or Chuck Taylor's can actually help you avoid parking woes. (The latter brand is an La must-have.) Otherwise, save the stunna shades and dress shoes for curb assistance and bring fullness of cash for tips.

The fact that there are a growing estimate of organic and natural food grocery stores occasion around the globe, and the fact that large chains, such as Whole Foods, are doing so well despite the hard times our economy has faced over the last 3 years, is proof (at least to me) that we, as a people, Want great foods and are willing to pay a small extra for healthier choices.

request better Foods!

Not only are organic and natural food stores occasion left and right, but major grocery store chains such as Kroger, Publix, Food Lion, Lowe's, and even Wal-Mart Supercenters are jumping on the band wagon, offering more natural and organic brands of food and even manufacturing their own store brand versions.

In addition to an increase in the purchasing of healthier foods, there has also been a steady rise in the buy of healthier for the environment, "green" products, such as non-toxic and all natural cleaning supplies, recycled paper and plastic products, re-usable containers, etc.

The theorize I point out all of these facts is to make it clear that we, as a people, have "wised-up". We are no longer okay with being hand-fed the crap that the government tells us is good for us. Sufficient study has been done, Sufficient independent studies from scientists Not in the pocket of the government and Big Ag, to furnish us with evidence that for decades, our government has been willingly killing us straight through food.

Despite the fact that we are all struggling financially right now, despite the fact that some of us are having trouble retention a roof over our heads, gas in our vehicle, or food in our bellies, we are making sure that the food we Are putting in our bellies is great for us. Our eyes have been opened and our brains have begun working independently once again. We understand the concept "Yes, it may cost more, but it's great for me and the long term benefits are worth the extra cost."

We are also beginning to understand that the population operate the market, not the other way around. If we want great foods, if we request great foods, then the market must give us what we want.

Clearly, as seen by the growing sales of natural and organic foods, we are demanding great for ourselves and our loved ones. I can only hope that this determined trend will continue to grow and move forward. One day, maybe, just maybe, all foods will be natural. After all, isn't that what food is supposed to be anyways?
